After seven years work the Men's Shed North Shore was opened on Sunday 7th April 2013.
Kaipatiki
Local Board Chair Lindsay Waugh did the honours and cut the "ribbon" to
applause from the large crowd of dignitaries, members and supporters.
The Shed was then opened for inspection, and The "Pink Ladies" put on a sumptuous afternoon tea in the lunch-room.
The list of people to thank is extensive, to say the least, but especial thanks must be extended to Jill Nerheny QSM (Senior Community Co-ordinator for the Kaipatiki Community Facilities Trust) who was inspired by the Men's Sheds she visited on a trip to Australia to set about establishing one here on the North Shore in Auckland.
